All residents of the Gnowangerup Shire are invited to a Weed Control field day at the farm of Michael and Sue Lance 12km from Gnowangerup on the Tambellup Road from 9-11am on Thursday 11th August. Control of weeds like caltrop, double gee, soursob, bridal creeper and heliotrope can be effective in home gardens and public spaces as well as on farms.

Hear what Mick has done to control weeds in the riparian zones of the Twolganup and Pallinup Brook on his farm; view an established revegetated area including self-sown native sandalwood; see a demonstration of DAFWA’s new free weeds app, MyWeedWatcher, for mobile devices. John Moore, Senior Research Officer DAFWA Albany, and others will be available to answer questions on hard-to-kill weeds and safe herbicide handling.

Follow the signs. Morning tea included. Please RSVP by Tuesday 9th August for catering.

For more information and RSVP contact Laura Page, North Stirlings Pallinup Natural Resources, Borden,  08 9828 1086 or 0401 553 285.
