RARE & ENDANGERED PLANT IN GNOWANGERUP

Did you know that a rare and endangered plant growing in the Shire of Gnowangerup is found nowhere else in the world? Hibbertia priceana is a small shrub that grows to a maximum height of 15cm and spreads up to 20cm x 20cm across. It has hairy grey/green foliage, and bright yellow flowers which are conspicuous in winter. The shrub is difficult to spot when not in flower. It grows on gravelly sandy clay loam soils , and is only found in a very area small area South of Ongerup. Hibbertia priceana is named after a local farmer (Price).
