AUSTRALIAN PLAGUE LOCUST – ASSISTANCE SCHEME CLOSING DATE REMINDER

Landholders are reminded that the closing date to lodge an application for the Australian Plague Locust (APL) Assistance Scheme 2016 is 31 January 2017.

The assistance scheme opened in October last year to landholders and shires seeking to control locusts in pasture, crop, fallow, greenbelts or where locusts were present on public amenities, such as ovals, through spraying with a suitable insecticide.Shires included in the APL 2016 Assistance Scheme are: Bruce Rock, Corrigin, Dumbleyung, Gnowangerup, Jerramungup, Katanning, Kellerberrin, Kent, Kondinin, Kulin, Lake Grace, Merredin, Mount Marshall, Mukinbudin, Narembeen, Nungarin, Ravensthorpe, Trayning, Westonia and Yilgarn.
